So while we identified a new, larger house in Inman Park we wanted to purchase, Katie and I were hesitant about moving forward as we were concerned about the Hurt Street house sitting on the market while we moved into a new home. Enter Andre DeWinter. Andre moved our Hurt Street house in a week. We received an offer two days after the open house, which Andre scheduled two days after the house went on the market. We had a contract in hand a week from the For Sale sign going up, We were then able to move forward with the purchase of our beautiful, new home on Sinclair Ave., thereby solving our space problem and erasing any worries about having to rent our Hurt Street house for a year or two. Andre understands buyers make the world go round and, like any top tier sales professional, has a network of buyers at his disposal. Furthermore, he understands a house is most likely to sell, if marketed correctly, within the first month of it going on the market. Thus, he spends considerable, time, energy and personal resources making sure a house is staged correctly so it shows well for an open house. And boy, does Andre know how to put on an open house. He uses Alon's Bakery to cater the event. For our house, he blanketed the neighborhood with flyers, advertising the open house, knowing there was a good chance the buyer would come from Inman Park. Indeed, the buyer for our Hurt Street house came from the open house and lives in the neighborhood. And it's not just our house. Andre moved a house on Sinclair Ave., our new street, within three weeks of it going on the market, recently. The Sinclair house, too, was staged and marketed impeccably.

We had been trying to sell our property for almost 2 years in very difficult market conditions until friends recommended Andre. We believe that the house would still be sitting there with a For Sale sign (we had moved out of the house) if we had not found him and let Andre work his magic.
I have not encountered a professional in recent times, whose industry knowledge, follow through and professionalism met the standards that Andre portrays.

Hiring Andre de Winter is like buying a lucky charm that works. He sold our house in five days in the summer of 2009...that seemed lucky. But that old gambler's line "the harder I work the luckier I get" seems to apply here. Andre knew our neighborhood inside and out; he seemed familiar with the details of every house on the market and many that had been sold long before. He painstakingly helped us present our house in a positive but honest manner. He seems to know a lot of people and everyone he meets likes him. Andre brought over flowers and hung them from our front porch. He even solved problems for us unrelated to the sale of our house, like finding a buyer for our butcher's block, taking our kids to the circus, and replacing the clutch in my car (he didn't actually do those last two things).
